Outdoor activities during the winter?

Forgive my ignorance, are there many outdoor activities during winter? I imagine there might be snowmobiling or snowshoeing? Anything else?

Ha! No winter sports activities here! Golf is the closest you get here. Try it today with the temperature at 30 degrees!

Golf at 30 degrees... I have to say, that sounds terrible... but I will try it at least once. Just let me know when you are going! I'll be the one with four jackets on.

You may be under the mistaken impression that we get snow here....once every 10-12 years we get more snow that Minnesota....but that is definitely a rarity....most years we don't even need to change the oil and fire up our snowblowers....usually the sun comes out the next morning and melts away all the snow when  we get some...if not the next day, the second day for sure. 

No snowshoes or skis needed here!
