Wow! What a game on Saturday between KU and K -State! Regardless who you were cheering for, this was one fine game! This is finally becoming a true rivalry! The students attending the game were unbelievably loud! We can be very proud of these two teams!
The Big 12 doesn't get the respect we deserve, but I am telling you we have some great basketball teams in this conference, including KU, K-State, Texas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, and yes I hate to admit it, but even Missouri!!
College basketball is the best!!

Being from out of state, I don't pretend to know about the KU-K-State rivalry (but I hear its one-sided!). How serious is it?

@november at least you can take solace in the fact that, even in losing, K-State climbed in the rankings.

In the past there has been no rivalry as far as basketball is concerned. KU has been a powerhouse for years.
K-State in the recent years has come to be a force to be reckoned with. They have tremendous "big" men plus two guards that are fast and also can shoot the ball very well at times. Pullen is the leader on the court as far as I can tell, I believe the fans think so also.
Frank Martin their coach, to say is "fiery" is an understatement! He can get away with that style as long as they continue to have great seasons. Think of the two football coaches recently let go because they were naughty to their players!
KU will have their next test with Texas next Monday!!
