About Hoe and Tell
I’m Shirley Buller, gardening my way through a two acre landscape on the family farm northwest of Montezuma. A graduate of Kansas School of Floral Design, I owned a successful garden center and floral shop for 10 years. In the forty nine years of growing flowers, veggies, berries and trees here in western Kansas I’ve probably killed more plants than the average gardener, but experience counts, so I want to share what I’ve learned.
Married to the Reluctant Gardener, I enjoy my volunteer work as a Kansas State University Master Gardener and look forward to growing along with you this season.
This blog was launched in March 2009 on The Garden City Telegram’s SWKTalk.com website as a way to promote gardening and assist new, as well as experienced, gardeners in the challenges of gardening on the High Plains.
Please leave a comment on the blog or email me with any questions or concerns, and I will do my best to respond. But since a lot of my time is spent on my knees in the dirt, I encourage you to help each other, too, by generating discussions in the Comments portion of the blog.
Thanks for stopping in, and enjoy “Hoe and Tell.”
